As can be seen, the disastrous wild fire that occurred in Notre-Dame Cathedral which is located in Paris earlier this year, had received billions of dollars in donations from people located all around the world, which was beyond generous and outstanding of these people to help repair the structural damage that was caused. Nonetheless, there is another disastrous fire occurring in a very important landmark in the world, The Amazon and the support from social media and donations are not the same.  More than one and a half soccer fields of land are being burned to the ground every minute which is heartbreaking. The Amazon rainforest isn't just some rainforest, it provides 20% of our earth's oxygen into the atmosphere.  The people who are here supporting the help for The Amazon are getting very frustrated with our world, that it is taking weeks for action to be taken. ...

The Forest  It was what I thought was a normal day in October of 1999. I woke up feeling this emptiness inside of me, my mind was blank and I did not feel like myself. I felt like I needed to spend my day alone, so I made the decision to grab my keys off the counter and leave to see where the world takes me.  I was driving aimlessly and I came upon a parking lot which seemed to have trails that lead into the forest. I parked my car and I chose to walk through it to see where it led to. As I start to get deeper and deeper into the forest, I look at my surroundings and see absolutely nothing. The creaking of the tree branches surrounding me, the leaves falling onto the dirt path, and the few birds that were chirping, were the only sounds that I could hear. It felt empty. There was absolutely no one back here except for me, the eerie feeling being in this forest alone it  left me confused with my emotion.   FIRST TIME CHAMPION! Usain Bolt is a first time olympic champion! At the start of the race, Bolt took off with not such a great start, his opponent Richard Thompson started off extremely strong. Usain Bolt is focussing on everyone else in the race and you can see the worry in his face as he watches everyone zoom past him. Bolt was racing against Thompson, Walter Dix, Churandy Martina, Michael Frater, Marc Burns, Asafa, and the second U.S runner Darvis Patton.  His strides became larger and larger in fact, to the point where he stumbled for a moment but quickly recovered and would not let it affect the rest of his race. His expressions were of someone who needed to win. He passed Thompson and the dedication in his eyes lit up not only his fans, but everyone watching.   After reading the Great Gatsby, I have interpreted the different character traits within each of the main characters. For this assignment choosing which character I would have to kiss, marry, and kill with the males and females was an easy decision for me.  Starting off with who I would marry. Out of Tom, Gatsby, and Wilson, I would definitely marry Gatsby. I  analyzed the pros and cons within his character and I found him to be the most intriguing. When Gatsby shows his love and affection towards Daisy, the things he did for her  is how I would want someone to treat me. He does grand gestures for her to show his love. In chapter 4, page 78, it states “Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay. ” He loved her so much that when he got back from war his main goal/ priority was for him to be with her.    During the first three chapters, three different parties had happened and were described by nick. The first party at Daisy’s, the second at Myrtles, and lastly the party at Gatsby's.    To start off, Daisy’s party seemed more like a dinner than a party in my opinion. The people that had attended were Daisy herself, Tom, Nick, and Miss Baker. The setting of this party was at Daisy's house in East egg. The house is a mansion which symbolize's their wealth. As the party starts Daisy and Tom get into a fight. Later on Tom begins to make white supremacy and racial commentary. He states  on page 13 “The idea is if we don’t look out the white race will be— will be utterly submerged.” This party was formal and scandalous. To continue, After Tom and Daisy's argument it came to light that Tom was cheating on her.
